Little Meter Red
04:19
|
|||
Watching you out of
the corner of his eye
you’re playing in your sandbox
doing normal kid things
Over there your father
is talking to another man
can’t shake the feeling
there’s a little meter red
little meter red
frantically going up and down, up and down, up and down
So you keep playing
the panic growing in your head
and you keep looking
at the little meter red
the vision in your dream is a
static television set
eyes open wide
back against the bed
Don't be frightened, child
Just close your eyes and Drift along in the white noise
Let yourself go unencumbered into the white noise
The static, it washes all clean, and swallows the screams
Just close your eyes and Drift along in the white noise.

Lunar Embrace
04:03
|
|||
Blind as a mole searching from the sun
Trapped in a chamber within the hearth of the earth, my love
Don’t say there’s no other way
This is how it will become
Dark in the sky, little shadows growing on the ground
Hidden in the clouds, Luna’s face has fallen down, my love
Into the arms of the earth
As I fly home to you
Cold hands, warm heart, fast feet to your door
As I closed my eyes I could hear
The world shout out screaming in fear
My mind stretches out time
Your face shines behind my shuttered eyes
Being so high my dear everything below is so pure and so clear
There are no lines, they all just disappear
Into the eye of my mind
Drawing you inside of me
Warm hands and heart we’ll meet once more
As I closed my eyes I could hear
The world shout out screaming in fear
My mind stretches out time
Your face shines behind my shuttered eyes
And our ghosts are made of machines
Entanglement uniting our seams
Hold your phantom hand within mine
My face shines behind your shuttered eyes

Questions through gritted baleen
of origins of love unseen
My son, the whale
from pocket to canal
Under star swimming
beside you, on firm ground, on wet stone, my feet pound
While gracefully in your wake is pushed
the need to give answers
My son, the whale
we share our vices
Passed father to son
I will drown for sirens
I’d swim through your heart
Clearing concerns from your thumping valves
My son, the whale
Your song, my son, is of the sea
Under star swimming
Her song called, my breath failed, stones shook, you were made
But sometimes love’s only passing
I wish I had more answers

Achromatize
03:07
|
|||
My skin is translucent, not entirely clear like glass
My veins you can see through a haze of a foggy of blue
Shadow under eye know that I will fade away
vanishing inside show that I am fading away
Cells drifting by one grain at a time
Concave their structure, my body entwined
Crisscrossing lines, shivering spine
muscles contracting in full body bind
My blood is congealing and churning with flakes of ash
The pulse of my heart is beating a queasy tune
Shadow under eye know that I will fade away
Atom of my mind know that I am fading away

Sewn Back Together
02:14
|
|||
She counts slowly and I wait face down
She counts higher and higher I wonder
When will the axe drop
I barely keep my head, it hangs by a thread
Pleased, she slowly walks
Me, dying to be found
I’ve almost lost my mind
Lying upward, facing under
Covered up by sheets so sterile
Breathe through severed nerve and marrow
Through these stitches it’s hard to swallow
And all I can remember of her
Is her voice counting in the dark
But I can’t remember who she was

Cup of Children
05:14
|
|||
I wandered in your garden trampled on your cup of
children so unwanted have a place but not for
Hung by the skin of their teeth, they could see nothing of
Buried by a barren breeze, I'd plant these seeds if not for
Young dreams, so unseen, sailing on a sea of seams
monsters lurk beneath the deep telling us who belong to these
lines
lines on the mirror
lines in the ceiling and the wall
lines in the water and the soil
lines on the pavement
lines in the steeple and the hall
lines that separate us all
stretched limousines and all those plastic modeled queens
these demons so unwanted have a place but not for
Old dreams, so obscene sailing on a sea of seams
water, over, underneath reflecting who will conquer these
Will we crush this carapace
or hide behind the mountains that we face
bound up with these
lines on the mirror
lines in the ceiling and the wall
lines in the water and the soil
lines for the lion
lines for the weevil and the mole
lines for the bread and for the oil
lines on the pavement
lines in the steeple and the hall
lines that separate us all

Organ Trail
03:35
|
|||
I have been here before
Over cracked teeth I float
Slide down the monster's throat
to the organs below
Though I may be a child
I've seen enough to know
consumed in a cycle
that I can't control
the belly of the beast
is a second home to me
the famine of the feast
a pattern on repeat
Moving past the fear
Nothing is new here
In I come and out I go
...but I'm still whole
Squint toward the outside light
But I don't get too excited
I know that when it ends
I'm devoured again
What more can I give
to be your supper?
Every moment
I have to offer
What would we be
without each other?
I am the meal
you're my monster

Belly of the Sea
05:25
|
|||
Water billows through the open mouth into the belly of the sea
deluge fades to mist that fill the cavernous abyss through which it falls
deep beneath our ships and dreams lie side by side in shallow pools afloat
and everything that enters here is all this sunken kingdom comes to know
The tide drew me to this place, and here i spend my days
buried alive at sea in a grave beneath the waves
cant fathom the depth of it, but it may as well be leagues
cuz there’s no escaping from the belly of the sea
hand over hand
no end in sight
